Getting to Vista sul Canal Grande B&B

Dear guest, it is very easy to get to B&B Vista sul Canal Grande. We are 55m from Riva de Biasio ferry stop, line 1.

For further details on how to reach Riva de Biasio on foot or by other means of transport, I will provide all information here below. But please be careful… Venice can be a labyrinth!
The explanation that you find here might seem too detailed, but who is visiting Venice for the first time can find it hard to find the way.

BY AIRPLANE

From Marco Polo airport, Venice can be reached by different means of transport.

– PUBLIC TRANSPORT – BUS (stops at Piazzale Roma*): from Marco Polo airport, two lines stop in Venice. By a 30 minutes ride by ACTV Aerobus n.5 (www.actv.it), or in 20 minutes with ATVO Bus;

– TAXI – ROAD (stops at Piazzale Roma*): 15 minutes ride;

– WATER TAXI (www.motoscafivenezia.it): it takes you directly to us, to Riva de Biasio on the Grand Canal. When you reach Riva de Biasio, take calle Zen, close to the ferry stop (line 1); after 25m, on the right you will find a palazzo at civic number 1265. Ring the B&B Vista sul Canal Grande bell.
[*] From Piazzale Roma you can easily reach the B&B on foot in 10 minutes with the help of a GPS or by ferry in 6 minutes.

– ON FOOT FROM PIAZZALE ROMA: do not take the new Ponte della Costituzione bridge (also known as Ponte di Calatrava). Follow the Grand Canal, keeping it at your left, cross two small bridges and go straight, passing by the Ponte degli Scalzi bridge, but do not cross it. Turn right on Calle Longa and turn left at the end of the passageway, cross a small iron bridge and go straight passing by a church (you will see the Grand Canal at your left, but keep going straight for a few more meters). At the crossing, go left in the direction of the Grand Canal. Walk on Riva de Biasio passing by two ferry stops and turn right to Calle Zen. After 25m, on the right you will find civic number 1265; you are arrived.

– BY FERRY FROM PIAZZALE ROMA: take line 1, final destination Lido and stop at Riva de Biasio. Turn left following the Grand Canal (the Grand Canal is now at your left), then turn right to Calle Zen. After 25m on the right you will find civic number 1265; you are arrived. Ring the B&B Vista sul Canal Grande bell.

Please note: Ferry tickets are quite expensive in Venice, so if you have planned to visit the city by public transport, it is recommended to buy a tourist ticket of 24, 48 or 72 hours, or the Venicecard (public transports + reductions on museum tickets). BY TRAIN

From the train station you can easily reach our B&B on foot in 10 minutes or by ferry in 3 minutes.

– ON FOOT: at the train station, cross the Grand Canal through the Ponte degli Scalzi bridge and go straight on Calle Longa. At the end of the footpath, turn left, cross a small iron bridge and go straight passing by a church (you will see the Grand Canal at your left, but keep going straight for a few more meters). At the crossing, go left in the direction of the Grand Canal. Walk on Riva de Biasio passing by two ferry stops and turn right to Calle Zen. After 25m, on the right you will find civic number 1265; you are arrived.

-BY FERRY: take line 1, final destination Lido and stop at Riva de Biasio. Turn left following the Grand Canal (the Grand Canal is now at your left), then turn right to Calle Zen. After 25m on the right you will find civic number 1265; you are arrived. Ring the B&B Vista sul Canal Grande bell.

BY CAR

There are different alternatives if you choose to park your car in Venice.

  • The easiest but more expensive solution is to park your car in one of Piazzale Roma car parks: Parcheggio Comunale or Park San Marco. It is recommended to book in advance;
  • Or you can park at Tronchetto, where it is not necessary to book. From Tronchetto you can reach Piazzale Roma in 4 minutes by People Mover train;
  • The third solution is Mestre, where car parks are cheaper but you have to take the train in order to reach Venice city center (see By Train).

BY CRUISE SHIP

Ships stop at Marittima pier. People Mover train will take you from Stazione Marittima to Piazzale Roma in 3 minutes.
From Piazzale Roma you can easily reach the B&B on foot in 10 minutes or by ferry in 6 minutes.
